3rd Africa Animal Welfare Conference - Action 2019

Africa Network for Animal Welfare (ANAW) works with communities, governments and partners in promoting humane treatment of all animals, through adoption, and implementing the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) Animal Welfare Standards, Five Freedoms for Animals and the Animal Welfare Strategy for Africa (AWSA).

In pursuance to this, ANAW has been convening conferences and workshops to discuss how animal welfare connects to various sectors. One area that has not been given the due consideration and interventions is how animals affect the environment or how the environment affects animals.
